Entries may be made online directly from the Rides Schedule page.
A simple guide to entering rides online see Making Online Entries
If entering on line there is a £1 p&p charge to cover return of your ride details.

Entries may be made by post using the official ride entry form which can be downloaded.
If entering by post, individual forms must be completed for each horse. Entries should be sent with a SAE to the Ride Entries Secretary listed for that ride. It is important to ensure that your SAE has sufficient postage and that it is of at least A5 size (162mm x 229mm).

Ride Opening Date
Whether you enter online or by post you need to check the Ride Opening date.
If you use the online system, it will not accept your online entry before this date, and if you send a postal entry in too early and it may be returned to you. If there is no opening date for a ride, then entries may be made as soon as you wish – the earlier the better, really!

Ride Closing Date
If you enter after the Closing Date then you MUST pay an additional £8 late entry fee (unless it is an NCR - Pleasure Ride)! You also run the risk of the ride being full!

Ride Fees
The standard entry fees are listed in Ride Fees. However many rides have a ride web site or a ride schedule - these should be checked for any special fees or charges, and details of any any special classes or rules at the Ride. If the ride is a multi day event then a special fee may be payable for the class. The fees for camping and corralling will also be listed together with any other special items eg Buffet meal etc.

Ride Details
Your ride details should arrive after the close of entries, probably about a week before the event but if you do not remember to put sufficient stamps on the SAE it may be delayed! They will include vet time, a route map, a ride information sheet with directions to the Venue, an emergency phone number and your vet sheet. They may also include a crew card (for use with your vehicle) and a talk round.

Refunds
Postal Entries:
100% an Entry fee shall be refunded if the Ride Secretary, on or before the Ride Closing date, receives notice of withdrawal in writing, email or by telephone. 100% of an Entry fee shall be refunded if notice of withdrawal is received by the Ride Secretary after the Ride Closing Date but prior to the allocated veterinary inspection time, subject to the production of a supporting doctor's certificate, vet's certificate, or photocopy of the Master Card showing that the horse has been eliminated on veterinary grounds at a ride not more than 16 days prior to the ride entered. At multi-day events, no refunds will be given once the event has commenced.
Refunds for stabling, camping or corralling etc will depend upon the arrangements in the schedule of the ride or the pre-ride information, irrespective of ride closing dates.

Online:
Online entry withdrawals on or before the Ride Closing Date (as published in the members Handbook): if an online withdrawal is made for a ride entry, the refund will be credited to the card used for the payment (usually within a couple of weeks). An email notification will be sent when it is done. If an online withdrawal is not made, there will be no refund until/unless authorised by the Ride Organiser or Ride Entry Secretary. The amount refunded will be 100% of the entry fees paid.
For withdrawals after the Ride Close Date, the refund will not be made until the Organiser has seen proof of the reason for the withdrawal (as listed in the handbook). If approved then 100% of the entry fee will be refunded against the Credit/Debit card, and an email sent notifying the rider that the refund has been made.
The refund of any additional payments made (eg stabling, camping etc) will depend upon the arrangements in the schedule of the ride or the pre-ride information, irrespective of ride closing dates.

Refunds for stabling, camping or corralling will depend upon the arrangements in the schedule of the ride or the pre-ride information, irrespective of ride closing dates.

All requests for refunds shall be made in writing with SAE to the Ride Organiser within 10 days of the ride date.
Ride Organisers will endeavour to process refunds within 3 weeks of receiving the request.
