If run in conjunction with a Competitive Ride, there will be a trot-up (without a saddle) in front of an official ride vet both before and after the ride. Riders are expected to complete the course at speeds of between 8 and 12kph. NCRs not run in conjunction with a CR do not require a veterinary inspection or a trot up. It should be noted that riders competing at EGB events are not permitted to wear spurs, nor to carry whips in excess of 75cm in length. Hats or crash helmets which conform to the standards PAS015, BSEN1384, EN1384 or ASTM/SEI must be worn at all times when mounted and must be properly secured. Footwear with at least half an inch of heel should be worn, unless a stirrup cage is used to prevent the foot from being able to slip through the stirrup. Wellington boots are not permitted in any circumstances. |
