Across the classes, it was a weekend defined by determination, partnership and some brilliant individual stories.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBig Distances Bring Big Performances\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe headline 120km two-day class produced an impressive field, with Judy Holloway taking victory aboard the 14.1hh Rabbalina — proving once again that endurance success comes in all shapes and sizes.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSecond place went to Iola Chapman, who continued her impressive early season form with another strong completion, averaging an impressive 14kmph across the distance.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYoung Rider Holly Brewell secured third with Cotswolds Shaquille, adding another excellent result to the growing list of young riders stepping up through the sport.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the 100km two-day class, Kathy Carr and Tannasg Storm took the win and now look firmly on track for their next major challenge at the Golden Horseshoe.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYoung Rider Maisie Denham impressed in second place aboard her skewbald pony — another reminder of the incredible versatility seen throughout endurance riding.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eExperience Shines in the 80km CER\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 80km CER saw a competitive field take on one of the toughest single-day challenges of the weekend, with Fiona Griffiths taking the win aboard her 20-year-old Anglo-Arab, Balishla — a performance that proves age is no barrier in endurance.\u0026nbsp;\u003c/p\u003e\u003cblockquote\u003e“It was absolutely fantastic to win,” said Fiona. “We hadn’t set out to go for it – we just wanted a completion. After a few tough rides recently, I really needed a good day.”\u003c/blockquote\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKnown at home as “Goofy”, Balishla has now covered nearly 3,000km in competition since starting endurance in 2012.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSecond place went to Jennifer Gaimster and her eye-catching 14.1hh coloured cob Striker, continuing their remarkable run of form following another podium finish at Haywood Oaks.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYoung Rider Scarlett Chapple rounded out the top three, completing the course barefoot, showcasing both skill and horsemanship at this level.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 80km two-day class was won by Larissa Whiley, ahead of Emma Martin in second and Nicola George in third.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAn Emotional Return in the 64km CER\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne of the most emotional moments of the weekend came in the 64km CER, where Janice Cockley-Adams and her experienced 18-year-old gelding HS Echo claimed victory.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter breaking her leg last year, simply returning to endurance already felt significant.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cblockquote\u003e“I was very emotional,” Janice said. “I broke my leg last year so had a forced year off and hadn\u0027t done as much as I would have liked in preparation. However, my leg held up, and Echo was there for me.\u003c/blockquote\u003e\n\u003cblockquote\u003e“It felt so good to be back out there again doing a CER which we both love doing. To win was the icing on the cake.”\u003c/blockquote\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSecond place in the class went to Bella Fricker, who completed despite suffering a fall out on course earlier in the day.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 64km two-day class saw Izaro Anza take victory ahead of Kirstie Worwick and Jenny Millar.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eInspirational Returns and Rising Stars\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 80km GER class saw a particularly inspiring win for Esther Groen, marking a return to the distance following a heart condition diagnosis — a powerful example of perseverance and careful management.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe was joined on the podium by Sally Farrall in second and Fiona Wearmouth in third, who completed her second 80km ride with the young imported New Zealand stallion Xcite Me.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 64km GER produced one of the standout stories of the weekend, with Eva Reinhardt winning on her first attempt at the distance.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cblockquote\u003e\u003cp\u003e“Final vetting? Cool as a cucumber. Heart rate 46. And then… we only went and won the class.\u003cbr\u003eI wasn’t expecting that. My only goal was for him to complete the 64 km and have a good experience.
